its about 350 feet of it 30 feet up where we cant get a lift.Yes i did it but dont ask how many hours.Only a stupid jerk leaves a mess like thischevyx92 said:For data??? 400 ft??? Are you sure??? Data lines, usually cat5E, hell even cat 6 are not good for over 300ft. Anything over that they usually run fiber optic and link severs together. Seems WAY to long to me from my experience.
I doubt that you can pull data cables in and out of a C without damaging them.SiddMartin said:use a vacum or air comp instead
edit: 400' , i would install a couple C condulets
Actually i was not using it for data ,just borrowing it for tempary service.Looked like easy solution but wasnt.Seems like there should be a rule in nec to cover raceways like this.don_resqcapt19 said:Jim,
Take a look at the specs for the cable. I have seen a lot of specs from the manufacturer that said no more than 100' between pull points and deduct 30' for each 90.
Isn't there?? Wait what kind of rule are you wanting????Jim W in Tampa said:Actually i was not using it for data ,just borrowing it for tempary service.Looked like easy solution but wasnt.Seems like there should be a rule in nec to cover raceways like this.

I was thinking of something along the lines of.....acrwc10 said:I can't believe my ears Jim wants a rule added for this. Shocking. How would you phrase the rule " if there is abandon conduit that is to long, to high, and in a really bad spot, thou shall not use it."![]()
