Mike this would mean you are not under NEC correct? What I stated is clearly allowed by the NEC. Bob the problem I see with the "Unit switch" deal is that not all dishwashers have a switch with an "Off" position marked.

I did not say it was correct. I have refered them to 422. III.

It is in the Dayton/Cinn. area. Not in the Cplumbus area.

sounds like the inspector is grasping at nothing. how many apartments in the building?depends on how tall the building is and weather your going from floor to floor or on one level.
