Use of compression connectors (e.g. Ilsco's) on the ends of the conductors satisfy the direct requirements of 110.14(C)(2). Once the barrel terminal is installed the requirements of 110.14(C)(1)(a) & (b) are [somewhat] moot and the terminal to equipment connection is beyond the scope of conductor termination. The FPN after 110.14(C)(2) referencing 110.14(C)(1 & 2), so it depends on the markings and listing of the equipment.
