... I have never been requested to install some receptacles below grade before, until now. Can you tell me if there is a code reference against it? If not has anyone seen a UL approved box that would allow it? ....
not trying to hijack this thread, but in a related question - suppose you were installing a quazite box (with open bottom) as a juction box for direct burial exterior lighting. would the wire connectors for the cable/conductors have to be rated just for a wet location, or for direct burial ?

I have to say yes. I've made a few electronic devices that use a bi-polar power supply. I used red for the B+, black for the B-, and green for the 'chassis' ground.A green battery cable?![]()
