I wish you to clear my inquaiary regarding the erthing system installation. Knowing that We are electrical consultant in Doha inspecting the installing of a substation 132/66/11 KV .concerning the connection of the earthing mesh around the S.S with the steel reinforcements of the building bases and columns the contractor suggests to connect the cooper earthing mesh around the building using a secondary galvanized steel bar strip welded to the main steel mesh reinforcing, after words connecting the copper earthing mesh to that bar using bimetal connection .this instead of direct connection between the copper mesh and the reinforcements by thermoweld inside the column or the base -before concreting- please advice whether such installation is accepted by code or thermoweld is the perfect or most preferable way for that connections.
