Being told that EMT is a galvanized. Is that true?
Protective coatings on ferrous EMT is typically zinc. It is the only kind of EMT most of us have ever seen as well, though by definition others may exist.358.2 Definition.

EMT is generally made of steel (ferrous) with protective coatings or aluminum (nonferrous).

I don't know a lot about "galvanizing" but zinc is the primary component involved.YEs I was aware of the zinc on EMT ...so is that galvanized?

So both emt and rmc are made of the same materials just perhaps thicker in rmc and coated differently
