358.2 Definition.
Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT).
An unthreaded thinwall raceway of circular cross section designed for the physical protection and routing of conductors and cables and for use as an equipment grounding conductor when installed utilizing appropriate fittings. EMT is generally made of steel (ferrous) with protective coatings or aluminum (nonferrous).
Protective coatings on ferrous EMT is typically zinc. It is the only kind of EMT most of us have ever seen as well, though by definition others may exist.

I don't know a lot about "galvanizing" but zinc is the primary component involved.

Electrogalvanizing is when the zinc coating is applied via electroplating.

Hot dipped is when it's drenched in a bath of hot molten zinc. Hot dipped is much thicker and gives greater protection.
