Emt in wet locations, ground wire required

I say it is good practice. I am all about safety. If the emt fails over the years, protection will still be provided.

I don't ever have to worry about this problem because I never install EMT outdoors.

We roughed in a slab with it (concrete) It wasn't my ideal. We duct taped all the couplings.

I think it is rather silly.. given the listing and the prescription found in 358.10... If the thinking is ,.. "that when it rots away there will still be a ground fault path"... yeah I guess so or a live unbonded short section of pipe..

Washington State does not allow emt in a slab

I never understood using EMT in a slab. I know it was/is still common in certain parts of the country. It was never done here in New England - always PVC or RMC back in the "old days." And nowadays PVC or ENT seems to be the logical and easy choice.

I think anybody that has worked on a building of any age with EMT in the ground level slab definitely have never understood EMT in slab.
