No, the product has provisions for using building wire to a junction box to the EVSE cable/connector. See:

The Chinese are making an unlisted extension cables……… Still not legal. Had a customer that wanted to do that so we could put the controller’s inside the dock area!

A lot of people who park on the street use them. The EVSE is on the front porch and their cable runs across the sidewalk.

Sure, upon reflection that's obvious, but as they are marketing the option, presumably there is a suitable cable for the J1772 com wires they will specify or sell. Or possibly an all in one cable a la MC-PCS Duo.
