Right here.
Somebody asked for these pics, but I forget who. Here they are. The end of an era. The Wiggy on the left says patented in 1925 and it sits next to a more modern Wiggy. No more Wiggys on the market, so get yours now if you like them.

Cool pictures Marc. That old one looks scarey but I'ld guess it still works, eh?
Yeah, it still works. It was given to me by an 80-something year old electrician in the mid-1980's when he "upgraded". I forget what he upgraded to. Probably something real high-tech like a Simpson 260.

Are they not selling them any more? My supply house had some on a table a while back - must have been a clearance table. I'm one of those young guys who needs fancy electronics anyhow:grin:.

I used to be a Knopp guy, but I now use the Fluke T+Pro and I love it.
I don't know if anyone cares, just figuerd I'd throw in my two cents!

Marc,

Where did you hear they were stopping production?

I would not trust a meter as my only test, wiggy, or even better 3 lamp series parallel connected test.

Here.

There doesn't seem to be a "legal" way to use them anymore.

I will be the first to say good riddance.

May I ask, why you would want to say good riddance, to one of the few safety voltage testers still on the market, the only other safe option is a 3 lamp light bulb test, but the home made, test leads on that would not mesure up to current safety standards.

the T+pro is also a knopp tester killer. its the future. i think most solenoid testers are starting to become obsolete

I read something about a rotation meter on those T+pro's?? Doesn't it only have two test leads?

yea it does. i didnt get a chance to use it on 3 phase so im not sure how it works
I guess you could do it with an internal timer and moving the leads in a particular order.

I try to use a standard sequence and it works pretty well.

red lead to "A", black lead to "B"
red lead to "B", black lead to "C"
red lead to "C", black lead to "A"

if you do it the same way every time it works great. I can't tell you how the meter can get rotation with only two phases at a time, but it does.
