The SCCR of equipment and the AIC of protective devices can only come from manufacturers.
Redesigning the power circuits or systems in order to reduce the available fault current is not what 240.86 means when it gives approval for an engineered solution stamped by a PE.

The employer cannot force me to put my stamp on anything.
Note that there lots jobs available for electrical engineers with a PE.
