One I been dyeing to see is the new leviton panel, I like the idea of all terminations done on panel and then breakers are plugged onto buses. No terminations on breakers, no pigtails, no oversized AFCI/GFCI.

breaker could not 'seat' on both noodle and hot properly Fred ,changed the breaker for new, same thing, abandoned the location and moved the breaker to another location.

i wasn't impressed....

Sounds like a qc issue from factory if it seats on different stab but not the first one

I’m a huge fan of Square D panels. Personally I feel like they are built better.

Normally would agree until I've heard all these reports of SD mains self re-energize or failing to actually shut off when pulling handle to "off".

Decades ago Square D did have different part numbers, when sold through non-supply houses, even though the breaker was the same. It was all about the packaging.
The standard QO 1-pole breaker was shipped from the factory in a 10 count carton. For 'consumer product sales' they offered a QO-CP which was a single breaker in a carton. Eventually they began suppling single breakers in blister packs with a number like QO-BP.

HD will also match Menards 11% rebate as long as there is a Menards within the same vicinity as the HD you make the purchase at.
It’s really easy - just go online and enter your receipt number. They send you a gift card for the rebate.
Then what comes of the receipt? Menards honors it, too?

I normally use the Eaton Br, but do sale the Eaton ch panel as a high end upgrade. A lot of customers love that the CH panel breakers turn to the off position when tripped, instead of the halfway position.

Maybe I wasn’t clear.

You purchase at HD.
Enter the HD receipt number on the HD website for the matching rebate.
HD sends you a gift card for 11% of the receipt value.

Menards only involvement is the fact that they have a store in the same area as the HD you made the purchase at.

Always love SD QO and it seems the price has come way down on the breakers. The qo breakers are excellent. On a short they usually trip without any delay of further damage at the source of short. .

that, and the fact that noodle buss configuration is essentially 30-40 more potentially bad connections under full load in that style panel(s) ~RJ~

SQ D QO was the resi cadillac , but became less than competitive , which spawned the Homeline

same seat and style , probably all manufactured in the same 3rd world factory that simply changes labels for orders overseas....~RJ~

I am not a fan of the homeline series. I try to only use the QO series and never had an issue.
