When an initiating(pull station) and notification(speaker strobe) are directly underneath each other like this do you run both circuits in same conduit?
I have always figured it like that and is allowed by code.

We always did it that way. Speaker/strobe loop and data cable in the same raceway.

Generally, yes. Manufacturers may publish their own charts which tell you what circuits can run together. For Siemens, it's almost everything, except the output from their ZAM-180 amplifiers; those are not current limited.
