Flexable Cords and Cables

NEC section 400.7 (6) permits the use of flexable cords for utilization equipment to facilitate frequent interchange. Does this mean that fixed machinery that is not likeley to be frequently interchanges is not permitted to be wired with so cord ?

IMHO Yes. Now having said that; I hardly ever see it enforced.

400.7(A)(6) only works with 400.7(B). If you get called on it use 400.7(A)(7). But like the others I've never seen it enforced here either.[/code]
