Flimsy EMT drops from 20ft ceilings

I don't know if you have forklift traffic or the like, but I have used 3/4 emt flattened at both ends, run at a 45 degree or less angle to the conduit

I have done that to support 20' power poles in big box stores, cheap, fast and very strong.:smile:

I recomended "back to back" strut to my client, but didnt realize it came in 20ft lengths...great idea.....

I find the 20' strut easier at HVAC and Plumbing supply houses.

Mule, They make 'strut couplings' 4 bolt type, to couple 10'ers end to end if your not into

welding.

Also, I'm not crazy over cord drops as a rule, but, seeing where you have Busway and the

customer changes things around alot, bus drop cable may be worth a second review.

Thanks, I heard back from my client today, and he's interested in changing over to the Unistrut drops. Got to get him some prices obviously but he's pretty interested...
