I have a house that is in a flood area. I am trying to find information on installing height for the 100 year flood plain.
project consist of back up generator and rewiring part of the house. House is on stilts about 12’ up and everything under the house exposed is just nmb.
I will be piping everything I do under house but I am stuck as what are the requirements.
No help from county, you can’t get ahold of anyone and electrical inspector is so swamped he rarely returns calls( or he is sick of me).

I found one prior post https://forums.mikeholt.com/threads/devices-in-flood-zone.66625/
If I could get pointed into the right direction, that would be appreciated!

OMG I might just have them Get this property surveyed before I can work on it. Trying to figure out were the 100 year flood plain is going to be a pain( to get it accurate).

I did find that’s it’s in the 100 year flood plain on county interactive map. Just could not find how high. Dad use to be a civil engineer I will be taking all my info to him to see if he can help.

Not an expert here, but would it be as simple as finding the elevation of the nearby boundary of the floodplain and assuming that this means the surface of the water needs to be at that elevation?

From what I gathered from FEMA and County Flood map. The house is in the Flood Hazard zone his entire 8 acres. Suppose to raise 18' but from what point I don't know. Surveyor will need to come out and tell me were the mark is. Thanks for the links guys a lot of ready o_O
