I have, many times, but not in many years, other than to show someone.

I do, especially the Yankee, which I called a "push-push" when I was a kid.

1. Yankee screwdrivers had the potential to tear up your fingers
2. I've used brace 'n bit, never heard of it as a testing requirement

Oops! had a BF, hit the enter button, did not finish....I have also...

Used a Hole Hawg. I still have the '72 model Dad got for me, was the first double-insulated drill we had...

Made lead joints on closet flanges, wiped joints on lead pipe
Worked with terra-cotta, Orangeburg pipe, asbestos insulated wire, K&T, cut/thread probably a few miles of pipe...

I remember that there were no drywall screws. We used #10 x 3/4" sheet metal screws, slotted not Phillips using an awl and a straight blade screwdriver.

Now adays a carpenter never touches wood on a commercial job.

Jerry, I tried to PM this to you, but you're not accepting PMs right now.

There are several on eBay right now, including one at $8 w/free shipping.

Search for "yankee driver" and sort by "price + shipping, lowest first."
