Does anyone use primer on electrical conduit? I've never once seen it used.

I've never used primer for RNC.

I don't know of any electrician is his right mind that would carry primer on his truck. Well maybe one.

I don't know anyone in their "Right" mind, that would wear a
White work shirt while trenching and using Primer on RNC.
Your cleaning bill must be thru the roof. Do you wear a white
work shirt while running MC too? My wife would kill me! :D

I'm just kidding Chris, don't beat me up! :D

Now that I take a look at that pic, I have to wonder, does that shirt make me look fat?

OK, I stand corrected. Chris Kennedy uses primer, in one gallon cans no less! That means he uses a lot of it. The plumbers here don't even buy primer in one gallon cans, but here we have an electrician who does. I am truly speechless.

I only feel warm and fuzzy when I drink too much beer. Since I've never used
primer on RNC. I think I may be missing something,I think Primer is cheaper
than beer, If it has the same results as beer I'm switching to primer. When I
feel warm and fuzzy, I'll never even notice the purple stains around my mouth.
I'll never know if your laughing at me or with me. Well ,until the next day,
then I'll be pissed. :D

I don't use primer on RNC, but I do clean the joints with glue.
Apply a coat and wipe it off with a rag.

I've seen many fall apart because the glue didn't penetrate the (hard glazed) surface of the pipe or fitting.

It doesn't happen immediately, but sooner or later it will let go.
Applying coat of glue and wiping it off will penetrate the glaze, and allow the "solvent weld" of the two surfaces....basically what primer does.

Just my opinion

we had an inspector around here that failed one of my underground services because i didnt put a male adapter and a bushing on the pvc pipe in the handhole

This is typical of my hand holes. Notice the TA's with bushings, lots of rock under it for drainage and the Polaris IPLW connectors.(UL listed for direct burial and submersible applications). After the curbs are poured and final grade established, it will stick an inch above grade.
