Generator Inlet Interlocking two Panels (400A service)

Wanted to see if I can get some feedback on this, I am not finding anything that's a code violation issue on this installation but perhaps Im missing something;

Customer wants a 50A gen inlet installed for 2 (200A) panels on a 320 continuous/400A service. Mechanically interlocked (using UL listed kits such as square D, interlock kit etc). Both panels will have a 50A breaker interlocked with the MCB and I'll have a splice in either panel or maybe a box from the inlet branching to both 50A gen inlet breakers.

And yes I know, I already gave the customer an estimate for a 22kw generac system, which is above budget hence looking for another solution.

Have done that exact same thing several times on new homes without any issues.
