GFCI Required on refrigerator?

I suppose next we will have to GFCI/AFCI the toilet and bath tub
No just have them bonded, that way you can blow dry your hair while taking the shower (multitasking) (justayokeman). I know let's make a whole body dryer like they have in the car wash. Done showering; just push a button and multi directional air nozzles come on while you're still standing there and blow dry you. That might need GFCI in the shower.
But seriously I've seen a surge of bidets being installed, and I've seen some that list as having warm air dryers, that might qualify as needing a GFCI on the toilet (or toilet receptacle).

It seems the "outlet" is what always leads down the GFI path.

Just hard wire more. :)

I think you mean the "receptacle".

Not too many items that must have GFCI even if hardwired. Though 2020 NEC added a little more, particularly for outdoor items at dwellings.
