Is the 120 volt duplex in a laundry room (for washer /dryer) required to be gfci protected?
I was responding to a comment from augie47, in which the 2005 version was cited. In 2005, that article says, "Laundry, utility, and wet bar sinks."Originally posted by allenwayne: Charlie that code reference is for a wet bar sink not a laundry tub/sink
Install a GFCI receptacle and move on.Originally posted by triphase:
Eprice, if it is a single 20 amp receptacle I guess the exceptions 210.8 (A)(7) 05' NEC do not exist. What to do?????
The fault is probably with the appliance not the GFCI.Originally posted by triphase:
You have never had a gfi trip on a washing machine, refrige, freezer, sump pump no other use but motor?
