None of those have anything to do with conductor sizes.

20a breaker. #14. 20a receptacle for a motor.

I know it may be hard to wrap your brain around this but it's the not knowing part that gets you.Look back at what the OP wrote and you see that no specific conductor application is given and so (G) doesn't apply here.Code don't address what might be just what is..

I thought I said the same thing in post 8.

Thanks for all the posts. I thought about it and I will have to set a sub panel and separate the neutrals from the can. If I go that rout. He inherited a couple of tenants with stuff piled everywhere. Very difficult to work. Going there tomorrow I will post results.

Went there today and sold him a new panel. He is starting to accept the fact that it is an old building. He needs to throw a good chunk of money at this. He wants smoke detectors in every unit. I was thinking of a fire alarm panel, a dialer, and get a monitoring service. He wants exhaust fans, A/C's, security lights, new fluorescents etc.. I hit the jackpot.
No fishing for me. :mad:
