I've always use ridged pipe for a ground but an inspector told me I have to pull a ground wire. It says in the code book the ridged pipe can be used as a ground. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Your post is a little vague, but yes many raceways can be used in it as an EGC. See 250.118 and show it to the inspector.

That's correct, many metallic raceways (including RMC) are listed as an EGC so no wire type EGC is required. EF gave you the code reference.

An example of a local code, WA requires a wire EGC in outdoor raceways.
