Loose ground wire?.... And the heat index today is going to be 105°F!"
This mornings service call, an AC that quit working during the hottest days on record. Gee.... I wonder what it could be?.....

Hmmmm. It's a real noggin-scratcher! :?
And don't get it. It looks like any other AC
Hmmm. I thought this was the disconnect.
Silly me. Now I know how to fix it!
Dude! Thats the contractor :slaphead:
No.. I'm the contractor!
Years ago that part went out on my A/C. When the tech took it apart it was packed solid with fire ants.*contactor

No... not a contactor. This is a disconnect.
Nope, this is a disconnect:
No wonder you don't know what your looking at  You've never had HVAC experience.

Could be worse, when the cap blows you can't bypass it. Have to wait for a new one to come 7 days latter on the hottest day
I’ve always been able get a cap locally same day. Had to replace two of them last year, one on my daughter’s central AC and one on the heat pump for my pool.
I have been looking for those disconnects... Where can I get some?
