If you are in line with the stipulations of 680.42(C), and are working with a dwelling unit, then .42(C) has modified Part II; so you abide by .42(C).Originally posted by RayH:
When 680.42 states outdoor tubs to comply with parts I & II ( which I refer to 680.25 for my feeder question) and 680.42(c) mentions interior wiring as any Chapter 3 wiring method with a copper ground, which do you feel supercedes which?
I hope they fixed the typo in 2005, and included (C) in the mix. At any rate, it falls under the main section of 680.42, so all outdoor installations of hot tubs fall under this more specific section, if the descriptions in this section match the conditions in the field.2002 680.42 - A spa or hot tub installed outdoors shall comply with the provisions of Parts I and II of this article, except as permitted in 680.42(A) and (B), that would otherwise apply to pools installed outdoors.
