Yeah I can't wait for inspector to try to shoot that down, then show him the catalog page. I never knew such a quantity could be put through a connector.

Keep in mind I’m talking about a 2” nm clamp connector, not the very similar looking 2” SE connector. It’s rounded instead of squared off. It would I guess be ideal for 4/0 SER rather than 4/0 SEU.

Just tighten clamps down for several seconds with your impact driver, they won't go anywhere then

Yeah I didn't notice, are these things listed? If so is there something in the listing standard or does Arlington just come up with this number that they say you can put in them?

The average install with several cables in a large connector is usually pretty random placement vs uniform spacing/alignment.

Yeah it’s based on how the cables land naturally coming down from the ceiling or whatever. You’d have to run them that way from the beginning to ensure they go in clean and in that particular order.

This connector is not a screw type so doesn't just apply even pressure across the cables. It has a wedge with a V notch that push the cables into the center of the connector.

I have used the original 1/2" size of this connector (T&B 3201) for 40 years.

Bridgeport makes a connector that works well for bringing NM into the back of a trailer panel I believe its called a 630-nm
