I'm getting tired of all the attention recently, but it's overridden by my overwhelming joy at passing the test. :D

Thanks to all who got me there.

Way to go!
What was your score?
They don't give scores, just Pass or Fail. :(

If you fail, you get a bar graph with no numbers on it. You're supposed to work on the subjects with short lines.

Well than you going to have a real hard time with all the JW groupies that will be following you around.
LOL

Nah, it's just between the foal, the new job, and the test coming up I've had a lot going on lately to share about. I get a little self-conscious going off about every little thing, especially so much at once. But if I were to bottle it up, I'd probably explode. :)

...was there ever any question that you wouldn't pass?
There were two questions in particular that stumped me. I can't remember one of them, but the other was a Chapter 8 question which I couldn't locate. Something about isolating the metallic sheath of a communication cable where it enters a structure - what means were acceptable. I looked around and couldn't find it.

Here's one that I had that I had the good fortune of stumbling across the answer for, later through the exam:
The protective grounding conductor for amateur transmitting and receiving stations shall be not smaller than _____ copper, bronze, or copper-clad steel.
(A) 12 AWG
(B) 10 AWG
(C) 6 AWG
(D) 4 AWG
Any takers? :)

Edit to add: I am tempted to call the Board and see where I can find a Marina with a 15/120V system, though. Can't they pay someone to double-check the test for typos, for Pete's sake? I mean, I paid $125 to test, you'd think they could afford a proof-reader. :D

Are you sure about those answers ?

810.21(H) Size.
The grounding conductor shall not be smaller
than 10 AWG copper, 8 AWG aluminum, or 17 AWG
copper-clad steel
or bronze.

EDIT: That might not be right : 810.21 ~ Recieveing Stations

EDIT #2: 810.58 Transmitting and Receiving Stations...14AWG

Well, then, I don't feel bad for not finding it straight away. :D

That's just it, there's so many answers that look right. When I came across 810.58(B) it read word for word just as the question did (odd words like "protective" included.)

I had originally guessed 6 and marked it, then returned later to correct my answer to 10 AWG.

One question that kinda irritated me read along the lines of...

A service is supplied by two parallel sets of 250 kcmil copper service entrance conductors. A ground ring is the sole grounding electrode for the service. What is the minimum size copper grounding electrode conductor that must be connected to the ground ring?

(A) 6 AWG
(B) 4 AWG
(C) 2 AWG
(D) 1/0 AWG
What's your answer, and can you guess what irritated me? :)

Another one I chased around for a bit and then just let it ride:

What is the largest size of EMT that can be used for service entrance conductors?

(A) 1 1/2"
(B) 2"
(C) 3"
(D) 4"

*None of the answers may be correct, I was unsure of the question.

My guess: D.
