The SE conductors in EMT sent me on a chase, because I wasn't sure if there was some special code I was unaware of limiting it, or if they were just sending me on a wild goose chase.

I figured it was a goose chase, and based my answer on 358.20(B).

Congratulations! Toot Toot Talou! (Trumpets sounding off) LOL. Great job. If you don?t mind me asking, are you planning on conquering the Masters examination next?

What if the ground ring were constructed of 1 AWG copper?

It's not required to be.......;)

I see what your getting at but don't over think it, the people writing the test are no better than us, they overlook all the implications of a question just as easily as we do.

Have you tried to write code test questions, I have and did not find it easy.

...more beers to make this more interesting? :D

LOL .....letters to post. :D

I've tried when studying with guys getting ready to take their test. You're right, it's not.

I figure it'll be some time before I'll have the year of "Planning & Layout" time documented, starting at this new job. Unless, of course, I can count the time I spend on the forum. :D

George,

In Massachusetts a 150 hour Masters course is required additional to one year as a Journeyman. If applicable in Colorado, I would recommend attending it as soon as possible. I have heard a rumor that in 2010 an Associate Degree will be required in Massachusetts.
Not sure the stipulations of Colorado but might be worth looking into.

I had MA Master License A-13480 (expired) when I was up there in the early 90's. It was an easy test! But who needs it? Journeyman with a GL policy can pull permits. Is it still the same?

The only thing a masters gets you in MA is the ability to have more than one apprentice working under you.

A Journeyman can run a business with themselves and one apprentice.

Any larger business would need a master.

But if you want to work with the tools as well run the business you must maintain your Journeyman's and masters license.

I doubt I will ever get my masters, it would only cost me money.

Gee and I found it easy to write code test questions. It wasn't til I tried various things getting answers did I find anything hard about it. Of course I agree wholeheartedly; it is difficult to come up with good clear cut questions.
