Good job!!!

Any good questions on the test?

Edit: Thanks, John. :)

They had a lot of questions on motor calc's, resistors in series and parallel, service calc's on dwellings. The service calc's is what I missed mostly, I think, since I'm industrial. Can't remember much of the questions since I was so confident I passed that I started celebrating when I left........ Cold Miller Lite... It was much easier than the J-M, as everyone I talked to had said. A lot of the J-M test was the same and the extra stuff was more industrial type stuff.

George,
Congratulations.
I passed the Memphis, TN, in 1981.
I keep a growing stack of old tickets, just to remind me of how tough it was.

I'm getting tired of all the attention recently, but it's overridden by my overwhelming joy at passing the test. :D

Thanks to all who got me there.

Congrats! On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the hardest) how hard do you think the test was? I give it a 4.

I'd tend to agree. It's been a while now, so I've forgotten some of the particulars. But I think a 4 would sum it up well.

The scale is really affected by how much preparation you do before the test. Someone who doesn't test well and doesn't spend much time in the NEC would likely come back with a 8 or a 9. It depends on the person, I think.

I am more impressed with someone who says, "I snowboard, hunt, ski, hike, rock-climb, water-ski, and run four-wheelers every weekend and passed the first time..." than someone who says, "I spend all my free time reading and discussing the NEC and passed my first time." I discovered that the guy I've been working with for the past month passed his on the first try, and he's got an active weekend life.

That's very impressive in my book. :)
