Just got a call from Ideal about the upgrade. They said that there is no change made to the serial number after the upgrades. They also said that the new updated manual is posted at their site.
Well, the link from the product page is still to the old manual but from the support manual page is this upgraded manual which doesn't say much about the ELL feature. More info in the link I posted above to another post of mine on the ELL feature. I'm not sure if anything has changed in this manual compared to the original.
