Locally here a hunter was found dead at the base of his deer stand --the platform is 12 foot high --- it can happen--work and play safely !

My dad fell from a 12' deer stand a few years ago, his rifle broke his nose and glasses. He had to walk about 2 miles to get back to his truck, only to discover that his keys were back on the ground near the stand. He has not hunted since.

Bob, I'm sorry for the loss of your fiend. My prayers are with his family. We have a 60' bucket truck and this serves as a great reminder to stress the use of a safety harness while at any height.
