Curious how some of you calculate JE on estimates over 25k. We usually figures 3-7% of total labor.
Curious how some of you calculate JE on estimates over 25k. We usually figures 3-7% of total labor.
I break it down to direct and indirect job costs.... And I figure direct costs on what I think it will actually be; permits, travel costs (fuel, hotel, per diem, wear & tear on trucks), phones, equipment, job trailer, depreciation of equipment and tools, etc..... I use a percentage of total labor for things like paying the secretary, mobilization costs, superintendent labor, and so forth. For overhead costs I use a percentage of total job cost based on historical data, and that's about 12%.
