Is a microwave a cooking unit?

The definition of Kitchen is not dependant on the definition of cooking unit, counter mounted from Article 100.

The definition of cooking is using heat to prepare food. IMHO a microwave is definitely cooking equipment.

Now to me the question is whether or not a microwave located in a dedicated cabinet space is more or less permanent than a free standing range.

In my state, a local rule says that if you wash your knife and fork and plate in the sink, you just created a kitchen.

STUPID ruling!!! Don't these people THINK???

Looks like my bath room just became a kitchen. Or am I ok if I wash just one or the other??
