Tommorow I will walk into my favorite restaurant and bring my own --(porterhouse marinated) I mean chicken. and ask them to use my (steak)Yardbird (chicken) and take the cost off the bill. Price is the same with or without your own material. Alright I will take 100 bucks off just to be a sport.

I did one new house with the HO providing material BIG MISTAKE...
Smaller jobs, they want to buy some wire or boxes, & I'll let em, EVERYTIME they get the WRONG STUFF. It gets old. I won't do it ever again on a big job, and pretty limited on smaller jobs. It's hard explaining to them why you won't let them supply materials. And, I would really like to hear what you guys tell the HO, when they have wire & boxes already there..."Just policy?" Then you go & get the exact same stuff & start to put it in...

I tell them my price included material. If they really want me to use some items they have there that is up to them. The price doesn't change. I have wire and boxes on the van. I don't have to go get them. The price would still be the same if they pulled the wire unless I had to repull it. It may be more.

I got a call today. Person called me 2 weeks ago wanting a mobile home hooked to an existing meter 40' away. I gave him a price. He used someone else. Called me wanting me to correct problems. I asked who he used. I know who it was and understand his problems. Asks me how much to do the things that need to be corrected. Same price as I told him to do the original install.
