The new version of Accubid will not transfer accounting data to Quickbooks Pro. So we no longer use T&M Billing, just Quickbooks Pro. Also, when we had our accountant look at our Quickbooks he said that for the past 9 - years every time that we transferred accounting data from T&M Billing into Quickbooks Pro another separate account was created. This made for a very confusing Quickbooks Pro which the accountant charged us $500 to put all of the entered data under a single account.

Our QB decided suddenly that when generating a cash balance sheet report that the .32 dollars it was off would flag an error and require a data rebuild that ddidn't work. Accrual reports were good. I found the month it was off twelve cents, 5 years ago. Office help had to figure out how to correct it and find the other twenty cents.

She was not a happy girl at noon. I found a service call that needed to be done.

How does it get off, balance sheet wise? Every transaction has to be balanced or it won't post AFAIK? Keep in mind I am still using a version about 10 years old though, probably need to upgrade or move on to something else sometime soon. Quickbooks is all I know though so probably will just upgrade.

We don't know. The accountant couldn't enlighten us either. She had already worked on others that were also off just a few cents. We have the Enterprise version. IDK what the others had. The office help had to be "inventive" to fix it.

It may be some software glitch. I have had Quickbooks mix up customer's whose last name is Johnson. However After 25 years using Quickbooks it has never made a mathematical error.

If you are using a 10 year old version of Quickbooks may I ask how you do your payroll?

Thanks,

He writes himself a check.
That and when I have had employees you can either pay Intuit for the payroll service or you can get tax tables from IRS and State/local tax authorities (all available online) and manually enter the witholdings of your employees as you create their paychecks. Social Security, medicare, remains the same rate for all employees, at least in the yearly earnings that I have ever paid anyone, and is already set up to automatically calculate that withholding, all you need is proper tax witholding table for the employee and find how much you are supposed to withhold based on what their earnings were for that period. Most of the time I have only had one employee so all you do is find their tax table and print off the page where their bi weekly payment typically falls and have it available when doing payroll. Doesn't take that much time that I felt was worth the payroll service subscription. If I had ten or more employees and they all had different witholding rates, it may be well worth the payroll service.

It is easier then doing service and feeder calculations, most of the time anyway.;)
