I bought these, and I was impressed. They are made in China (what isn’t these days:mad: ), but I can vouch for the waterproof part. First day I had it, I left it in the side pocket of my carpenter jeans and they got washed and spun. Wife felt it in the pocket when she went to put the pants in the dryer, so it did not get dried. I took it apart, the O-rings worked! Minimal moisture inside, wiped it out, turned it on and tad da- light!

Actually very white bright light , even in daylight. Takes 3 AAA to operate, and they are arranged in a circle, not end to end in the light casing, which accounts for its shorter than normal length. The switch is push on push off (not momentary) and is on the bottom of the case, not the side.

The only drawback I have found is the black nylon strap – not made for anybody of any size. If you weigh a buck 50, you can probably get your hand inside. Otherwise, it’s useless.

It is a good light to carry, and since they come in a two-pack, I threw the other one in my toolbox. For 16 bucks, I thought it was a good deal for the quality of the light.

I order from this company a lot, and they deliver as advertised. Latest offer was for free shipping,

You know, just in case you are still trying to find that perfect gift for me.

I offer up tool suggestions, so thanks ...

Kliens finally put out a nice package of small device screw drivers, lol....

My helper has that exact flashlight it works great... I'm sold on LED lamps, but no one has stolen my Mag light lately, shoot...

I'l stick with my Streamlight Scorpion, nice piece, wicked bright, but eats batteries...... very very expensive batteries. I'd love to get a rechargeable one, but I like the idea of always having it, along with some replacement batteries, instead of having to wait to recharge.

I got tired of feeding mine batteries and durn thing gets HOT....I retired it and am still in the process of testing for a replacment....I try them all

$90 is to pricey for me for something that I will lose before long anyway.

I did just buy a DeWalt cordless work light and I could not be happier with it.

It takes a minute or two to come to full brightness but once it does provides great work lighting.

I am tired of batteries dying etc. I have a cheap $5 flashlight from Lowes and I will almost always get an extension cord and plug this in.

I love the fact that for 5 bucks I can get an extended warranty on a $15 flashlight. I have several surefire flashlights which are extremely bright for their size but they require special batteries which is a pain because they're expensive and not available everywhere.

I have four of the two head versions with stands but I really hate using them, it's like having a heat lamp on your back

Here's what I use. I don't have to worry about batteries because I've trained myself to put it back on the charger. I've had about five years and I love it. I have had to change the bulb about 10 times ($15 a pop), basically every time I dropped it.

It's called the Ultrastinger from Steamlight BTW

Im kinna' queer for led flashlights. Like a 3 cell Maglight with a Luxeon 3 watt retrofit module. Bought the Luxeon retrofits years ago when they were 30 bux a pop. Wal-Nut hazzum now for half that.

Best Wishes

I converted 2 mag-lights to LED. The little 2 cell AA I carry on my belt gives a fantastic light and almost eliminated my weekly battery purchases.
The 5 D cell certainly has fabulous battery life, but the LED does not give the direct light the old "p" lamp produced.
Happy with both,however.

Why go to all that trouble? Just get one of those 20 million candlepower rechargables and duct-tape to your head. (I just duct-tape it to my hard hat for convenience, but that's just me.)

No cords, no electricity needed. Ahh, life is good...

I use the LED MagLite "Mini Mag." It's incredibly bright and I'm very happy with it.

My only complaint is that it goes through batteries like crazy, but that's the price to pay for having a bright flashlight.

I have a Makita fluorescent like the one Bob posted and I like that as well.

And this post shows why there are different ways to do everything up down, flashlights, determining rates. What works for one does not for another.

Years ago as I and another apprentice argued about how to do a certain installation an older mechanic told us there is no right way other than by the NEC, get 3 mechanics in a room and you'll get 4 different solutions.
