Because I want my shower water hot, not just heated from 55°F to room temperature.

That is assigning a meaning of, "hot water producing heater" rather than "heater of already hot water".

That is assigning a meaning of, "hot water producing heater" rather than "heater of already hot water".

I want my water hotter than what my shower anti scald thinks it should be sometimes. In that case me turning up the thermostat I'm taking hot water and heating it more.
