Re: locating direct buried feeder cables
We have two an older radio locater and a newer one that has a variable frequency adjustment that will locate any cable most with out any connection to it. The older radio locater is the one that I use for lost connections, as I can isolate both ends of the run and connect the clips to the hot and neutral on one end, it will drop off in signal when you pass the bad spot then just do this again from the other end and between the two marks is where the loss is. I will try to get the manufacture of them one was bought from a rummage sale for $20.00 the other we got from a company going out of business for a couple hundred bucks.
