Hello,
I am inspecting a job with a lot of sub panels (70) and on one of them they had the rubber protectors installed on the line side of the MCB. Made me wonder if they are required. I consulted with others in my agency and they said they believed it was required. I looked at 110.27 and 408.3 and could not come up with the requirement. My other instinct was 110.3(B). If the manufacturer tells you to put them on, put them on, right? Any experience and code references? This is 2014 NEC. (Job has been going for a while).
