if youhave 8 meters and each one has a 100 amp main breaker do you have to fuse the main for the whole service
 
I think he is asking a [230.71 & 230.72] question in regards to grouping and maximum disconnects...versus the load served for the system...but then again I am not sure.
 
It looks like he's asking what size fuse to put in the service disconnect when there are eight 100A breakers on the load side of it, but I could be mistaken. Perhaps Cutlass will elaborate a bit more.

I think the question is, do you need to fuse the disconnect for the whole service or can it just be a non fused disconnect.
