Making your own knockouts in 400 meter base

Is it ok to not use one the factory knockouts in a residential 400 meter base and cut our own at a desired location ? There is a lot of room inside. Thank you.

Not an NEC issue, but most POCOs rules about such.

not unless the manufacture says no.
You do have to deal with the existing holes and rain proof them if outdoors.

Some power companies require certain specifications. I work IA an area with 6 different power companies, and they are all different.

I make my own holes wherever and whenever, it's never been an issue at inspection time.
