MCC Breaker Handle Height

I understand that 240.24 requires the handle for the overcurrent device to be 6'7", but does that apply to a MCC?

MCC has a main breaker that is below 6'7". Each load fed from the MCC has a disconnect at the load.

Thanks,

Why wouldn't it apply to an MCC...unless the device in question wasn't an over current device.

Also, I think thats the max. height mean that it has to be less than that. I think you might also need to take into consideration that the handle would be up when on (and higher) and the equipment may be on a housekeeping pad, or curb, again raising it higher.

Sounds like you're good to go then.

I was wondering, since it had a main that shut down all the breakers, did the individual breakers need to meet the 6'7"?

It cant be higher than 6' 7", isnt that what you mean. And yes it would need to meet those requirements.
