MCC feeding second MCC in another building.

I have a MCC that will feeding a second MCC in another building, does the NEC require a ground rod for the second MCC? We will be installing 3 phase conductors and a ground from the first MCC to the second MCC.

NEC 250.32 requires a grounding electrode system at the 2nd building
consisting of the electrodes listed in 250.52

You might also check the requirements of 225.30, 225.32 in reraged to the required disconnecting means.

The MCC does not require a GES, but the second structure does.

Does the second building already have power?
