Once I told my bride "I don't see you you can be so beautiful and so stupid at the same time!

She said "that's easy - God made me beatiful so you would be attracted to me. God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!"

Old joke....

Stick...
If you turned that cut exactly 90 degrees it would look exactly like mine did last July 4th.
A wood chisel (that I had just sharpened) was the culprit.
I drove around for 2 hours looking for a clinic that was open.
Sewing it up only took 20 minutes.
The worst part was the Betadine that the doctor poured in the cut.....YeeeeOhhhhhWeeeeeee!!!

I carry a bottle of isopropal alcohol on my truck for just these kinds of wounds. I think I had a day about six years ago were I didn't cut a hand or finger some place. That sure looks like it hurts. Thanx for info on Anti-bacterial electrical tape. My wife is a dietician and I might be able to sell her on that one!

tie wrap cuts

tie wrap cuts

Reaching into a controller or similar where the wires have been bundles with plastic ty wraps. The snipped ends are like razor blades. A helper I had cut himself so bad on the back of the hand he needed 8 stitches _ from an Ideal ty-25 !!!

I recommend rolling all ends to the back of the panel !

These kind of injuries are kind of expensive. The biohazard kit you have to use to clean up the blood is like $100 a pop.

not sure what his wife's response would be, mine would probably give me more scars to be admired....

Same hand opposite side of palm. Sprint would not let me make a 911 call in roaming mode because my bill was due. Two hours driving from fiber hut to hospital. To find out there was a county clinic 7 miles from the fiber hut.

Better yet, use either the tool that is made specifically for the purpose, or use an electronic flush cutter. This is a tool that is ground on one side only.

On a different note, in the engineering drawings that i have produced, i have always written the note that tie wraps must be installed with the manufacturers tool. (I have scars from the days i worked in control panels where the installers didn't use the proper tool).

I bleed everyday, but a few years ago I cut my left index finger while striping a cable for a motor on a conveyor. looked at it said I might need a couple of stitches here...went to the bosses office said I might need a ride to the ER, showed him my hand and he almost passed out...turned a ghostly white and called the plant nurse...five hours of surgery and wallah finger works again....oh and my wife makes sure we have a good supply of medical stuff on hand only cut myself twice today.
