Hello quick question for you all. I’m building a house in Houston area Texas by god America. Ive got a “freind” who does electric work assisting me but I’m concerned he’s not as bright as he thinks
any ways Utlity company is bring service to my property in the air to a pole which in turn goes to underground service to my meter can on the house about 100 feet from pole to meter. Then my main breaker box is 35 to 40 feet away from meter. My help tells me I can go into crawl space from meter run service cable through floor hoist up through floor int utlity room with no disconnect.
I’m no expert and don’t claim to be it just seems that I should have a disconnect near the meter. If in deed I’m correct Their is a disconnect near the meter on the outside of the house can the service cable run the 35 to 40 feet with no other disconnect in between the the first disconnect and the service panel.
