...while parked behind McDonald's.

That would be funny. Walk into a restaurant with a coiled up extension cord, and ask them, "you got any place I can plug this in outside?"

Use one of those wireless cords then!

Here's my truck

If all else fails you can always warm up your "Beans-N-Weenies" on the intake or exhaust manifold.

Bob, I have done that.

Actually a friend of mine and myself use to compete on who could come up with the best intake manifold lunch.

I did a flounder with broccoli, cauliflower, onion, garlic, pinch of oregano, salt, and pepper, wrapped in tin foil dish that could have been served in any restaurant.

It took a 30 minute drive to cook it to perfection, the fish was flaky and the vegetables were cooked yet crisp. Bon Appetite

We also used to cook on a large PVC Hot Box Bender, you can get four slabs of ribs on it with no problem, add a few pieces of rebar for height control and you're good to go. :)

Then there is a 200 watt lamp in a metal box (welding rod warmer) to heat lunches.

mount it on the engine cover next to the driver so you can cook underway--like between jobs--besides, you can set up a desktop computer on top of it and do your invoicing while your waiting for your lunch to cook..........

Usually it's called a "Hobo dinner" but I think your recipe broke the mold.

Well... I just didn't want a manifesto on wiring up high current draw appliances in a vehicle, when all I really wanted to know about was mounting.

Looks like I've got a few options now.

Sounds like your only scared of break'n the rotating platter ...
Remove the platter
Use a small bowl or plate, the item will still rotate!

Not all of them.... both of mine have a matching cam system between the glass plate and the micro. Any old plate will just sit there.

Marc, I am assuming you have a big enough inverter on your truck to power the microwave.
I tried a 500 watt inverter with a tiny microwave, didn't work.

My microwave was to put my tupperware on the dash at the 10 AM roach coach break. At noon, nice and warm.

Hey Sparky is your microwave behind the espresso machine?
