min. height of disconnect

does any one know of a code applying to how low aequiptment can be mounted? living in Nebraska snow is a corcern. Everyone I talk to tells me something different. thanks

There's no minimum height as far as the NEC is concerned.

I don't think NEC has a minimum height. It may be a local issue in Nebraska.

Just put it where you wouldn't mind working on it with 2' snow on the ground. I saw one service that was 3 inches off a deck with a flip up cover to boot. Obviously the deck was added..............

Only minimum height is for Mobile Home Service Equipment, in 550.32(F).
Reasons? Floods, snow, dogs, not sure...

Never thought of "Dogs" as an issue but now that you mention it, do they have more dogs around mobile homes than any other type of home?

If it is a utility disconnect they may have a minimum hight, ours does.

Interesting, I just seen the same thing a couple months ago, and yes the deck was added. Are you following me:eek:
