does any one know of a code applying to how low aequiptment can be mounted? living in Nebraska snow is a corcern. Everyone I talk to tells me something different. thanks

There's no minimum height as far as the NEC is concerned.

I don't think NEC has a minimum height. It may be a local issue in Nebraska.

I have never seen a min.. Someone told me recently that on rooftops there is a 18 inch rule.

Just put it where you wouldn't mind working on it with 2' snow on the ground. I saw one service that was 3 inches off a deck with a flip up cover to boot. Obviously the deck was added..............

Never thought of "Dogs" as an issue but now that you mention it, do they have more dogs around mobile homes than any other type of home?

If it is a utility disconnect they may have a minimum hight, ours does.

I keep goats near some of my mobile homes (rentals), at first I was worried that odor might be an issue but so far the goats haven't complained.
