Hello all, first post here. Right away, let me give some details: This meter is for power quality GE NexxusEPM 9650Q, to be installed on GE AKR-8 switchgear <600vac. It is on a federal facility for the FAA. The meter front has a terminal strip for the potential monitoring along the bottom and communications wiring across the top. The issue I see is that the communications wiring, Cat5e with RJ45 connection, is close to where the 480vac is landed on the meter front.
Are there restrictions on having the 480vac so close to the 300vac-rated insulation of the Cat5e cabling? If so,I need a reference. I fear that the FAA may take advantage of not having to be inspected and install this meter any which way.
I have probably omitted some very important details, so please ask if there is more info I can provide to get a solid answer.
Thank you in advance. Dennis.
