Hello all
we recently put in a multimeter section on rear apartment building. There is a detached front house that owner is requesting us to feed overhead. Typically we go underground to detached bldgs but asphalt was just repaved so he doesn’t want any patching.
Its been a while since I’ve done overhead feeders so just want to check if there are any new codes I may be missing. Clearances over bldg and driveways can easily be met and plan is to feed the 100 amp panel with 1/0 quadruplex. Approximately 70 foot span.
Anything else changed in overheads other than clearances and wire size?

Thank you

No changes that I know of in recent code cycles. If you want to go underground, you could have someone directional bore for you. There would be very little to no patching of the asphalt

Thanks buddy, with water gas and sewer in same general area we’d be going wouldn’t want to chance boring. But I think we’ll be ok with the overhead

Directional boring using just a water jet should not risk damage to other utilities, but you might not find a clear path.
